Have you played the new $3 Red Hot Crossword game from the Florida Lottery?
I bought my first tickets at the 7-Eleven at U.S. Highway 17-92 and Airport Boulevard in Sanford. I revealed my letters, but when I started to play the game, I could not scratch off the letters on the crossword board.
They usually scratch off and change color so you can see if you make words. No amount of scratching could make that happen.
So I got out a marker and marked the letters.
The same thing happened with tickets I bought at the Circle K on Sanford Avenue in Sanford.
Then I took a trip to New Smyrna Beach and bought some of the tickets there and they worked perfectly. The most recent tickets I purchased at the 7-Eleven at U.S. 17-92 and Airport Boulevard also were good.
This leads me to believe that, at least in Sanford, some of the early tickets that were distributed were defective.
